How Women In Action Began

Comprised of nine women who live and work in Big Sky, we all share a concern about children and families missing opportunities for quality healthcare and education. To better serve those needs, the group became a Board of Directors and in 2005 founded WIA, a nonprofit organization that addresses those concerns.

The goal of our non-profit organization is to enhance and enrich the lives of children and families within our community through a broad range of programs including medical/dental assistance, education, arts, children's activities and scholarships, to name a few.
